I have an odd and no-doubt unjustified aversion to flickr that I can't quite explain. I have no idea why. ..but I just broke down and got a tumblr, which actually seems like fun. I wish I had a bit more time to poke around on it.
I made a pact with myself to not care about "keeping up" with my online hangouts, especially not to the detriment of other stuff. At one time it mattered a lot to me, but now it doesn't, really. (I'm not trying to get a job in the field, mind.) So I don't think I'd have that concern. I'd care more if I had a running comic or something, but you know. But what I liked and find myself missing about DA is the community aspect. I made a lot of friends there, and I miss that.
I'd also have to wipe my old account clean, and I'd rather just abandon it, and preserve it as an archive. And that's why all but three of my pieces are in storage. I know I should wipe it clean, and yet... ...and yet it is an archive. It represents a lot, in its own weird way.
